New Jersey and Maryland Boxes

From: Elise (fitasafiddle_e@yahoo.com) | Date: 2004-03-18 19:49:18 UTC
I reported awhile back that we moved our index webpage to
http://tommy.unicornservices.net/Letter/index.htm

I'm sorry to report that we no longer have access to this webspace
and have decided to gather up our boxes and retire from the sport.

Here's a list of our boxes (Webmaster, please remove references to
them from the letterboxing website.)

New Jersey -
5 Bridges of Batsto
Cape May Point Lighthouse
Baytona Trail Surprise
Manasquan Letterbox
Twice the Trouble
Oh, be my Friend
Delaware Bayshore Trio (East Pt. Lighthouse,
Moore's Beach & Jake's Landing)
70 Million Yrs. Ago in New Jersey

Maryland -
Susquehanna Letterbox

Thank you,

T & E

Oh, I am sorry to hear that -- some of those NJ boxes were among my
favorites (Cape May Point/5 Bridges/Baytona Trail), although I never
did find the East Point Lighthouse Box. Have you checked if there
may be somebody in that area willing to adopt them so you would no
longer be responsible for them, but they would remain active for
other letterboxers? Or is that not an option you are interested in?

Elise:

Sorry to hear about lost letterboxers and boxes. I would be more than happy to offer you free space on my website. While I cannot have any graphics, my space is unlimited. Please contact me offline if you are interested.

Thanks, and . . .

Have fun and just get out there & box!!!

I could take the Manasquan box if it needs to be adopted. I drag my Dad
after boxes when I visit and we haven't found this one yet!

It would be a terrible shame to lose these great boxes.
I live in PA but may be able to adopt a few of them.
I bet there are others willing to take on the responsibility of these as
well.

I managed to find the Cape May Lighthouse box last May, but it was totally
soaked.
I only get down to CM once or twice a year, but could assume responsibility
for that one.
Not sure where the others are, but please consider having some of us take
them on.

I have to agree that it would be such a shame to lose these. Why not
just move the whole clue to the LMNA site? Even if leaving the
sport, it makes adoption by others much easier.
If it comes to that, it's a stretch for us, but since we need to get
down to check on Pasadena and have two more heading south soon, we
could probably adopt:
5 Bridges of Batsto
Baytona Trail Surprise
Twice the Trouble (it was missing, but we could replace it)
Oh, be my Friend
Didn't Bookworm want to do a lighthouse series? Cape May and East
Point (which was missing, but a great spot)would fit in there.
